Introduce:
The article presents our experience in the treatment of proximal and distal articular tibial fracture. This fractures needs a perfect reduction and a good fixation for early mobilization and walking.

The locking plate offers us these things.

Material and Method:
During the period 1.01.2010 and 31.12.2010 we implants 15 locking plate for proximal tibial fracture specialy schatzker 5,6 and 10 locking plate for distal tibial fracture.

Disscution:
The results are good and verry good without major complication.Only one patient made a skin necrosis , verry good solved with plastician help.

Conclusion:
Self-locking plates offer a solid primary synthesis, early mobilization and walking

The desavantage are the high price of this implants, big incision but these are eclipsing by the good results.
